First introduced in January, the bill is key to moviny alongthe university’s expansion plans, UB officialx have said. Those plans — calleds UB 2020 — include physical campue expansionsand renovations, along with growingg the student, staff and faculty populations. • Implementinhg a rational tuition policy. • Allowing UB to make certaijn purchases without priorstate approval. • Letting UB sell and leasew land withoutstate involvement. • Granting UB the ability to get fundinfg directly from the statde Dormitory Authority to pay forconstructionb projects.
