QinetiQ signs lease in Reston - Washington Business Journal:

As the incoming lead tenant inthe 196,000 square-foor Class A office building at 11091 Sunset Hillsa Road in Reston, its 11-year lease startsa later this year. McLean-based Qineti North America, a subsidiary of London-based QinetiQ that offerz technology-based defense and security products and services to the saidits 42-percent revenuwe growth over its last fiscal year has partly been due to its role in the intelligences and cyber security markets and new work with the Department of Homelandd Security and NASA. It will be the fifth U.S. officw for the company, which is also in Fairfax, Ala. and Waltham, Mass.
The tenant was represented by Robb Johnson andDee MacDonald-Millere of Jones Lang Vardell Realty Investments LLC was represente d by Mike Shuler, Rob Walterx and Nate Krill of Millenniujm Realty Advisors LLC. Initially, 400 program management-type employees be relocatinfg from various offices in Fairfax County into theRestonh building. Down the road in 2011 or 2012, the number of employees at the site will doubleto 800. Out of the 400 movint in, 75 will be part of QinetiQ’d technology solutions group and the other 325 will be part of its missiomnsolutions group.
“Like any company trying to attract andretain high-quality people, we were looking for more than just a This building has environmentally-friendly features the new generation of employeeds is looking for,” said Matthew Warnock, directoer of public relations at QinetiQ. He adds that the buildinfg sits right off a bike trail and was builyt onan east-to-west access, which means employeesz can take advantage of a full day of sunlighy and cut down on electricity.
